Ahhhhh – Rushing Rivers, Lutsen 99er and more

Yup, we can all agree it’s been one heckofa winter. Well, that’s what stories are for….to be told. The benefit of our winter that had a ton of snow followed by relentless spring rains are many. Our North Shore Rivers are at full force and amazing to watch. Just be careful. The time between snow melt and green-up is always a tad scary because of the threat of forest fires. Our Superior National Forest and the BWCAW are in good condition relative to that threat. And the dry conditions that hindered Lutsen other areas up north have soaked in that much need moisture.
With the warmer weather and snow gone, our 3-season back roads are open and for me that means endless miles of mountain biking. Remember, the Lutsen 99er is scheduled for June 29. And there is the 39 mile race course as well. Don’t miss this festive event at Lutsen. It’s a great weekend of fun, good people and one darn good party.
